Our Team

Ron Pratap

Director & Senior Financial Planner

Ron Pratap has been involved in the financial services industry for close to 15 years and provides guidance on Investments, Superannuation, Risk Management and Retirement Planning through clear, transparent and structured advice.

Ron enjoys working with clients to structure a strategic financial plan to meet their specific goals and objectives, whether they are a young wealth accumulator wanting to structure their financial future all the way through to clients that are about to retire and need guidance on options and strategies available.

Ron started RP Wealth with a key focus on working with clients on an ongoing basis to achieve their goals as he found working within an aligned bank model restricted him in terms of Products, Advice Procedures and Ongoing Relationships. Ron is now truly able to help his clients without a lot of the previous restrictions placed on him through a compliant and manageable approach.

Our Values

Foundation   Foundation

We ensure you have you have the right fundamentals in place by getting to know you and working with you via an initial plan which will detail all your advice, benefits, actions, risks, fees and expectations. This lays the groundwork for what we will build on and what needs immediate attention. By laying the right foundation and understanding your goals and dreams, we can then map out a plan for your financial future by identifying what arrangements need to be set up or what other experts needs to be involved in the process.

Structure   Building the Structure

Owning one single default option for your investment strategy or your protection strategy is like having a house with one door and one window. We work with our clients to ensure their plan is appropriate for their needs and future goals. This plan can change over time and the structure needs to be able to adapt to that. By having more than one door and window, this allows us to diversify different investment outlooks and ensure you have the right plans in place so the walls don’t come crumbling down.

Protection   Roof Of Protection

Things don’t always go to plan as a number of factors can get in the way such as ill health, global economic issues and redundancies. By ensuring you have an appropriate personal protection strategy in place to shield you now and in the future, we make sure that roof stays up and protects you when things don’t go to plan.

Our Financial Planning Process

1. Discovery Meeting

During our first meeting we will sit with you, either in our offices or at your home, and go through your current financial situation in detail. This will give us a very strong understanding of where you are now and what you would like to achieve.

2. Identify Your Goals

Once we understand your currently financial situation, we can build a picture of where you would like to be. We will go through step by step and clearly define your dreams and goals. These will be the basis of our financial plan moving forward.

3. Identify Your Risk Profile
We will go through a series of questions with you that helps us to identify your risk profile. Your risk profile allows us to understand what is more important to you – security or returns. This will help us to guide your financial plan in a direction that will be most suited to your needs and level of comfort.
4. Prepare Your Financial Plan

Once we have all of the information, we can then prepare your financial plan, also known as a statement of advice. This will take up to 2 weeks to prepare. Once it is ready, we will contact you to make a time for us to go through it in detail.

5. Implementation Of Your Recommendations

Once you’ve decided on the recommendation you would like to proceed with, we can begin implementing these for you. We will take care of this whole process, keeping you informed at every step of the way.

6. Ongoing Reviews And Updates

Once your new financial setup has been finalised, we will stay in contact regularly to review your progress and provide you with updates on the financial markets. Our relationship does not end once your implementation is complete, we are always here to support and guide you towards meeting your goals.
